Dave is a geologist graduated BscHons University of Liverpool 1983. He spent a number of years in Oil and Gas exploration before accepting a position with Anglo American in South Africa as a geologist within Gold and Uranium Division in 1988. After a number of years working as a mine geologist Ddave got involved in mining technical systems and formed part of a AngloGold working group in this reporting to the board. In 1995 he was appointed the project manager of the AngloGold mine planning project at Elandsrand mine to test mine planning technologies in a production environment. As a consequence AngloGold acquire the CADSmine technology and formed a company called GMSI and he was appointed as the Sales Director in 1996. In 1999 AngloGold sold GMSI to GijimaAST as it was no longer considered core business. Dave left GijimaAST in 2007 to start Deswik with some colleagues. Deswik is now a leading global mining technical systems provider and he is currently the Business Development Manager for Africa.
